He starts washing the dishes. There's not much to clean so it only takes about five minutes tops. Hopefully Vietnam doesn't get bored then.

Once ready to leave, he opens the door for her and nods towards the hallway. ]

[If he's okay with it... Then she's going to lounge a bit! But she also watches him a little just to check on him. The rest? She looks around, being that this is the first time she's here without them trying to fuck in every room. At least she still feels the same: she likes it.

By the time he finishes, moving to open the door, she was already seated. So she stands up and goes to join him.]

In the end though, he decides to speak up. Just so they're talking and she won't feel awkward. ]

What kind of music do you listen to?

[And she follows! At the moment she walks beside him, and she's the type who doesn't mind silence at all. Considering that this was planned last minute, and she respects space.

But if he wanted to talk? She'd like that too. So this question?]

Hmm...I listen to many genres of music because of what is popular at the time, since I usually follow what's on the radio. [Upbeat Korean pop is all the rage right now! Which is probably where she gets her rap music.] What would you say if I answer that it's not primarily rap? [Teasing?]

[coasts]

Ya think I'd say somethin' bad about it?

[ He shrugs his shoulders. It's not a big deal to him. It's not like she's dissing rap or anything, or generally not being respectful of his own preference. ]

[hoasen]

[She taps her lip in thought.]

Hmm, that depends. Some could think it be fighting words. [They're not!] It's usually used in a lot of the modern music I've been listening to. Rap battles happen back home but nothing of the scale you have. I guess I listen to more pop music at the moment. Korea, my brother, produces quite a substantial amount.

[coasts]

Your brother?

[ He gets that there are other spirits like Vietnam, but he doesn't understand why they're family? ]

Is America your brother, too?

[hoasen]

[She looks horrified at the thought. It's time to make things a little clearer.]

Oh thank goodness, no! How to say, so none of us are related, but we are taken in by other countries under their wing. For example, China and France raised me, at different points in time. So I call them my big brothers.

[coasts]

[ That makes sense. Okay. He gets it! Sort of. ]

You get along with them well enough?

[She rubs the back of her head.]

I am a good older sister. As for being a good little sister. [She winces.] It's much better now, even though I am sure France probably is getting grey hairs because of me, here. What of yourself, you have siblings?

Nemu. She's 6 years younger than I am.

[ There's a little bit of sadness that shows in his eyes when he mentions her name. He really misses Nemu. ☹️ ]

Nemu...[She sighs, since he looks sad. So she reaches over and places her hand on his arm.]

I'm closest to my younger sister. Taiwan.

Is she here?

[ Vietnam's lucky to have her family around, if that's the case! ]

[If only! She's are Taiwan would love them. Like that fanart where she made Macau dress up as Jyuto.

Instead she shakes her head.]

[ He looks at her, sympathetic, but his expression turns sour again once he faces forward. ]

You're right. That...ah, "shit happens". [It's strange coming out of her mouth.] And how we are not meant to be here. Other than them wanting our chroma. America thinks he could make a proposal so that we can move back and form between worlds in exchange for chroma, and then we should be able to go back home...

[She knows why he looks sour.]

[ But that's pretty much all the details he'll give. Samatoki isn't exactly eager to divulge every detail about himself. ]

[She's not going to pry, at least not until he trusts her. They may be talking easily, but it is early yet no matter how they feel.

On the other hand? She straightens up, trying to look like a badass. Except she just looks like a noble lady so never mind.]

Perhaps, or perhaps I'm not trying hard enough! I could attempt to be a badass [Badass] rapper. [No. She knows.]

[ Samatoki raises a brow at that. Not that he doubts Vietnam can apply herself and be an effective and good rapper, but it just doesn't suit her image. Then again, he barely knows her. He knows she's nice; he knows what she is; he knows her name. They're still in the getting-to-know-you phase.

He lets out a puff of laughter. ]

Sure. You should learn freestyle.

[hoasen]

[That's right, hear her roar! Except yes all she is good with is karaoke so hmm.

But look at that tiny fist pump! And then pauses.]

What...is freestyle?

It's what it sounds like. You rap with or without a beat and you make up verses on the spot.

Samatoki pushes the door open into the convenient store. It's a pretty big one but not that big to be considered a grocery. He intends to just buy the set meals and reheat in his apartment than cook since it saves money. ]

[hoasen]

Oh! [Okay so she did say she could've tried, but she's not entirely sure how either.] Do you have an example?

With the door open, she walks inside, a nice convenient store. The range of produce is pretty limited, so she looks around, wondering what he was thinking of getting.]
