[Just wait till he realises she's easily teased and a bully target because of how flustered she can get.]

I like gardening, so I know decently. And some of their meanings.

[She leads him into the shop, looking around a little.]

But also just looking for something nice, really.

[coasts]

I'll look around.

[ He walks to another area of the shop, letting go of her hand while he looks at the various flowers on display. There are a lot, and he can't even begin to guess what they all mean. It's not like he's a florist that he knows flower meanings. He typically just gets what's pretty when he has to give somebody a present. It hasn't happened in a while, and whenever he'd get Nemu flowers, he always knew what to get because she had a particular favourite. ]

[hoasen]

Alright, I'll see you in a little bit.

[She's got a fair idea what she likes, but she does wonder what he's up to, or if he likes anything. Would he like a pot plant? A cactus is ready to take care of.

So when she looks around to find fresh flowers, she does peek up to see what he's doing.]

[coasts]

[ There's nothing interesting that he's doing. He's just looking around. Sometimes, he'd try and touch a petal to see how it feels, because it probably looks rough compared to how the petal actually feels. There are a lot of flowers, aren't there? Even some that Samatoki's never seen before, but he's not really an expert with these things to begin with. He can't tell if some of them are native to this planet or if they actually exist where he's from, too.

Once he's gotten a look at just about everything, he heads back to Vietnam's side again. ]

Found anything?

[hoasen]

[Some were familiar, looking like ones stress seen back home. Her precious lotus, but today she wasn't looking for those. There were other fascinating flowers, like this one that seems to glow like flames.

That was the one she was looking at when he returned to her, so she lifts one up.]

Look at this. Isn't it beautiful? It's like a candle.

[coasts]

Looks nice.

[ "Beautiful" isn't something that could come out of his mouth. Not right now, anyway. The flower does look interesting. In fact, he reaches for it to see if it's actually on fire.

And it is, so he pulls back once the flame touches his skin. ]

It's real!

[hoasen]

[As soon as he says the fire is real, she puts the flower down and holds his hand. No matter how pretty a flower is, it is dangerous to him--]

Are you burnt? [She quickly turns his hand in her palms.]

[coasts]

M'fine!

[ He's tougher than he looks!!! He's more surprised than hurt, too. He didn't think the flames were real. ]

You getting it?

[hoasen]

[If there are no burns, she starts to rub his hands better between her fingers.]

If you're sure, otherwise we can find some ice.

I was thinking of buying it, by it did hurt you...[she looks around, and since no one is looking, kisses his fingers gently.]

There, a token.

[coasts]

[ He stays quiet, looking at their joined hands for some time. Then, softly: ]

Get it if you really want it. It's not a big deal.

[hoasen]

[If he says things like this, how can a girl resist? She flushes lightly.]

It's beautiful... But I'm not sure. There are other flowers here that are beautiful and safe. You're more important than a little bit of beauty. [And this she means, no matter how long they've known each other.]

[coasts]

[ Samatoki chuckles at that, then calls for one of the florists. ]

We'll take this one. Can you put it in a pot?

[hoasen]

[THIS BOY. She's watching as he does this so the florist doesn't argue. Nor can she if it's Samatoki approved.]

Samatoki! Are you sure...?

[coasts]

If you're actin' shy 'cause of me, then you shouldn't.

[ And this helps him know what her taste is like, too. Not that he can read her properly yet, but it helps a little. He'll come back here on the day of their date and her her something. ]

[hoasen]

I'm not acting, I'm deeply moved. You were hurt by them and you still asked for them for me.

[If he wasn't hurt, she'd beat him up now as a tsundere just for being cute. But it's great, she loves flowers, she's fascinated by the ones that don't exist back home. But lotus is still #1. The more she hangs out casually like this with him, the more she grows excited for their date.]

Come, I'll have to pay for those, and then we can go back to your place and put your purchases away.

[coasts]

It's gonna take a lot more than a little flower to hurt me.

[ Not even certain rappers could hurt him. He's got thick skin! ]

I was gonna pay for 'em, but if you insist, I won't stop you.

[hoasen]

Aren't you strong? Very well, then this one.

[Oh she knows he's got thick skin, she spent all day scratching--oh wait.]

I mean, I appreciate it, truly. [WHY IS HE SO GOOD TO HER SHE'S GONNA DIE.] But I don't mind. Especially since you came with me here, and gave me some Chroma just then--a-ah... [She clears her throat.] I'll just pay.

[coasts]

[ The florist prepares the flowers, puts them in a nice pot and then instructs them both how to properly take care of it! Sunlight is not needed, but it needs to be watered twice a day. Singing to it also helps, apparently.

Alien flowers... Samatoki seems amused. ]

Can you sing, Sen?

[hoasen]

[No sunlight, makes sense considering it is a fire. But what is this? This sounds adorable! Except she's limited to karaoke-style singing.]

Ahhh... [She extends that considering she's thinking. Alien flowers, you demand a lot. Also she swore watched a movie like this.]

If at a karaoke, perhaps. [She looks around. And then seeing that no one is really listening, she whispers half a bar and it sounds like the first half of this. Basically, draw a circle, there's the earth.]

Do you think that worked...?

[coasts]

Huh? I didn't hear you.

[ But he laughs. She tried, and that's important! ]

Come on. Maybe you'll be louder when you're at your place.

[hoasen]

[She embarrassed herself and he didn't hear! Ahhhh!]

Fine... It'll be easier it's not safe here. People could listen in.

[She immediately takes the pot plant, and his hand, to quickly get out.]

[coasts]

[ Oh. They're holding hands again. It's.. not bad. New, but not bad. He's getting used to it.

The florist who attended to them sees them out, even waving goodbye as they walk out the door. Samatoki just nods their way since both hands of his are occupied now. ]

You don't gotta get shy with me.

[ Just sayin'!!! ]

[hoasen]

[His hand is comforting, especially after the nervousness of singing seriously instead of in karaoke. But when they leave, she farewelling the florist with a matching nod, he had to say that didn't he!!]

Well... I'm not... [She swallows and holds his hand tighter.] too shy around you. If it was just with you...

[coasts]

S'that right?

[ She's flustered. He could tease her, or he could just back off. She's pretty cute when she's getting shy, isn't she? ]

Well, don't worry. I'm not gonna force you to do anythin' you don't wanna.

[hoasen]

[It's easy to fluster her when she starts to get attached because he looks like he knows! That's too powerful! Look at that smirk.

She'll have to kill him.]

I mean, if it's just the two of us, I wouldn't mind trying... But only if you don't tell anyone! That's also a karaoke rule!
