[ Emerald isn't afraid of ghosts. Or at least, that's what she keeps telling herself. The last few days have honestly been creepier and creepier and she's about fed up with it, and is decidedly on edge. Dead people should stay dead, not come back and haunt the living. The living have enough issues to deal with without dead peoples' baggage and grudges being put on them. Somewhere out there, there better not be a ghost of a puma-esque bookstore owner.
At least she doesn't have to worry about the robot.
Either way, she doesn't quite realize that she's walking by Samatoki yet because she's minding her own business.. well, until she sees what looks like some kind of ghostly apparition right in front of him as she passes by him.
[ Suddenly, Samatoki's nose is bloody and his arms have turned into spaghetti. He's dazed only momentarily, maybe a second or two, before he realises his face is wet and it's not water. What the fuck!
He wipes his nose with his hand. He doesn't have a handkerchief... ]
The fuck did I do to you?! [ He's definitely angry, but raising his hand against a woman... That's not something he could ever do, even though he wants to punch her back. He was just minding his own business?! ]
[ She never got his name. But at least she seems to almost immediately realize that she definitely didn't mean to punch him. ]
I thought I saw a ghost, and you must've been behind...
[ She looks around as if trying to find the ghost again, but its gone. Apparently trying to punch does make some effort. Or maybe it had a grudge against Samatoki. Who knows. ]
[ Punch him again— wait. It's fine though, he's sure he'll get better. But with no one to actually take care of him, he's a lot more reckless than usual. ]
Ghosts don't exist. You're just creeped out 'cause of this weirdass place.
I hope you're right, but you're also the first person I punched. Maybe it's your hair? [ Samatoki looks like a grandpa ghost. ] Come on, let's go see if they have some tissues.
[ She gets behind him to gently push him toward a nearby shop. ]
[ Why is he being pushed!!! He sniffs pretty loudly to get some blood back in, and then he lets out a cough because now there's blood in his throat fsdkgh GREAT!!! He doesn't say anything about it though and instead moves on to get tissues.
... except the more they move, the more he feels like there's something going on. Someone's watching them. Samatoki doesn't need supernatural abilities to feel it. It makes him stop in his tracks. ]
[ On top of normal instincts, having her aura means that all these ghosts have been setting it off constantly. It's no wonder she's on edge. She doesn't see anything though. ]
Keep moving, if it's a ghost we clearly can't fight it as well as I'd hoped.
[ She looks around in the shop before leaving over the front counter. The keeper is in the back, so she just leans over and yoinks a couple of tissues from the box, then holds then out to Samatoki. She smiles. ]
[ She's apologetic enough, so he's gonna stop bring it up after this.
Especially since she helped him out. He wipes his hands on the tissues and then throws the rolled up tissues in the trash can. ]
We didn't encounter any ghosts, just creepy as fuck statues along the way. [ He was sure they were moving, but nothing's followed them so?? Good? ] Maybe they aren't real after all.
[ She can control herself most of the time!!!! Sort of. She does better now that Mercury is here because she can at least argue with him. She looks a little sheepish, moving off to his side. She doesn't care at all that he's smoking inside the store. He can do what he wants. ]
In my defense, is it really assault if they're already dead?
